Roy's hard drive is dead.

Yes, Roy's now officially toast. Fortunately, I don't think the hard drive is completely failed, so I think if I put a new one in I can recover the stuff that I didn't back up last week. I can't get Windows to recover, though. Just tried for about an hour and a half.

Even so, running around trying to decide whether I need to replace a hard drive or a whole computer tower (which is probably what will happen, considering that my rig is nowhere near Vista-compliant) is not what I had in mind for midterm-time in the quarter. Oh thank you so much world. >_
