At least the walk is mostly downhill.

WTF
Oh, thank you school. Thank you so much.

Last week, meaning up to yesterday, my personal page on the school website had listed no, (as in: zero) textbooks for my classes this quarter. I checked it again today and got a nasty surprise. $355 + tax I hadn't been planning on spending will have to be spent. And I'm one of those people who is avoiding credit cards for as long as possible.

And they couldn't tell me this, you know, a week ago, when we were actually talking about finances. No, it had to be 2 days before the quarter begins.

This isn't the first "Sorry, we're a bit late with this, but..." problem I've had with the school this year. Before now the issues were confined to Housing and Food Services (HFS) that deals with housing and is perpetually understaffed. So I can forive it to a certain extent. But at least they had the good sense to make sure the bills got in the mailbox well ahead of time, even if my registration information arrived 4 days before I moved in.

Well done all around, I say. Come over here, just a little closer. Within range of this lovely shiny sharp blade thing. *stabby stabby*
